Since Year 2000, YDC E-Challenge has been providing tertiary students in Hong Kong a platform to learn and develop their business plans, and more importantly, to reach out to the Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists to secure the necessary funding to realize their entrepreneurial dreams. Building on its success, the competition will step into a new milestone and will be developed from a local Hong Kong competition into a regional event.
In 2012, YDC will organise the new HSBC YDC Young Entrepreneur Challenge with funding support by the Hong Kong Bank Foundation and the Innovative and Technology Commission of Hong Kong.
The competition consists of two parts: the business plan competition among the full time tertiary students in local Hong Kong education institutes and a regional competition for the winners from HK and overseas countries/cities in Asia to compete for the Best of the Best Award organised in Hong Kong.
